This course has been developed for beginners or experienced operators and is delivered in a controlled, real-world environment. It applies operator skills and knowledge for those working in site-based roles required to operate a wheeled front end loader.
Wheeled Front End Loaders are used across a range of industries including civil construction and the resource sectors.
- Planning and preparing for wheeled front end loader operations
- Attaching, securing, lifting, carrying and placing materials to complete work activity
- Preparing to relocate the wheeled front end loader
- Conducting housekeeping activities, including the recycling and disposing of materials.
A Statement of Attainment will be issued on successful completion of the unit requirements.
This unit alone does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisting someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and unload plant or equivalent.
There are no mandatory pre-requisites to this unit of competence, but all learners must be 18 years of age or over.
Students will need to provide:
- Photo ID - (ie Drivers Licence, WA Photo Card)
- PPE - Steel cap boots, appropriate clothing (ie long sleeve shirt, long pants, hat)
