Course Overview

Need more than one machine ticket? Our course bundles make it easy to complete multiple nationally recognised units as part of one training program.

Whether you’re starting a career in civil construction, mining or infrastructure, or expanding your existing skills, our bundled training options allow you to complete several machine courses in a structured and efficient way.

Training is delivered by experienced trainers using modern equipment in a practical, supportive learning environment. Where applicable, learners complete their online learning before attending their face-to-face practical training and assessment.

To ensure every learner receives quality training and sufficient time on the equipment, we schedule a maximum of two units per training day. If your bundle includes more than two units, your training will be scheduled over multiple days.

As each learner’s training requirements are different, bundle dates are not listed online. Our team will work with you to schedule the right combination of units based on your goals and availability.

Please note: Each unit within a bundle is charged at the standard course fee. Bundling courses provides the convenience of completing multiple units together but does not include discounted pricing.

Contact our team to discuss the best training package for your needs. We’ll help you choose the right combination of units and organise a training schedule that works for you.

Course Structure

Delivery

Training is delivered using a blended learning model. Before attending, learners complete their online learning, enrolment requirements and theory assessments at their own pace. Once these have been successfully completed, learners attend our Ellenbrook training facility for practical training and assessment with an experienced trainer. To ensure every learner receives sufficient practical training and machine operating time, a maximum of two units are scheduled per training day.

What You'll Cover

  • Machine-specific safety requirements
  • Planning and preparing for machine operations
  • Conducting pre-start inspections
  • Identifying hazards and implementing risk controls
  • Safe operation of plant and equipment
  • Operating techniques for each machine
  • Shutting down and securing equipment
  • Post-operational inspections and housekeeping
  • Basic operator maintenance requirements
  • Workplace communication and documentation

How You're Assessed

  • Online theory assessment
  • Face-to-face theory assessment to confirm understanding of the online learning
  • Short-answer written questions
  • Pre-start inspection
  • Practical observation operating each machine
  • Trainer questioning where required to confirm knowledge and skills
Assessment Note

Learners are required to complete all online learning, enrolment requirements and online theory assessments before attending their practical training day. At the commencement of the face-to-face session, learners will complete an in-class theory assessment to confirm their understanding of the online learning and ensure they have completed the required pre-course activities themselves. Learners will then undertake practical training and complete a practical observation where they demonstrate the skills and knowledge required for each unit. Assessment outcomes are recorded as Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC). If a learner is assessed as NYC, reassessment opportunities are available in accordance with Full Tilt Training Solutions' Assessment Policy.
