Our Commitment to Student Success
Full Tilt Training Solutions is committed to providing a supportive, inclusive and accessible learning environment that enables all students to successfully participate in and complete their training.
We recognise that students may have individual support needs and we are committed to identifying and responding to those needs through appropriate support services, reasonable adjustments and referral pathways.
Support is available before enrolment, during training and after completion. We are committed to:
- Providing accurate pre-enrolment information
- Identifying support needs prior to enrolment
- Monitoring student progress throughout training
- Providing access to appropriate support services
- Making reasonable adjustments where appropriate
- Referring students to external support services where necessary
- Promoting equal opportunity and access to learning
Identifying Your Support Needs
Support needs may be identified through:
- Enrolment discussions
- Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills (LLND) assessments
- Student self-disclosure
- Trainer observations during training
- Assessment outcomes
- Student feedback
- Employer feedback where applicable
You are encouraged to discuss any support requirements with Full Tilt Training Solutions as early as possible – ideally before enrolment – so that appropriate arrangements can be put in place before training commences.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment
As part of the pre-enrolment process, all prospective students are required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment before enrolment can be confirmed.
The LLN assessment helps Full Tilt Training Solutions to:
- Determine whether you have the language, literacy and numeracy skills required to successfully participate in your chosen course
- Identify any potential barriers to learning and assessment
- Determine whether additional learning support may be required
- Assist trainers and assessors in planning appropriate support strategies
- Ensure you are able to understand training materials, complete assessment tasks and meet workplace requirements
- Improve student success, progression and completion outcomes
- Meet foundation skills requirements contained within training package qualifications and units of competency
The LLN assessment uses the Australian Core Skills Framework to determine foundation skill levels. It is not designed to prevent you from enrolling – its purpose is to identify support needs and ensure you have the greatest opportunity for success.
Learning, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills (LLND) Assessment
In addition to the LLN assessment, all prospective students are required to complete a Learning, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Skills (LLND) assessment before enrolment.
The LLND assessment helps Full Tilt Training Solutions to:
- Assess your readiness to participate in vocational education and training
- Identify learning support requirements
- Evaluate digital literacy capabilities required for training and assessment activities
- Determine your ability to use technology including email communication, online learning platforms, electronic forms and assessments, and digital devices and applications
- Identify any additional support requirements relating to online learning or technology use
- Ensure you have the necessary foundation and digital skills to successfully complete your course
What Happens After the Assessments?
Results from both the LLN and LLND assessments are reviewed by Full Tilt Training Solutions prior to enrolment. Where support needs are identified, we may:
- Provide additional trainer or assessor support
- Develop an individual support plan
- Implement reasonable adjustments where appropriate
- Provide additional learning resources
- Offer digital literacy assistance
- Refer you to external support services
- Recommend further foundation skills development prior to enrolment
All assessment information is treated confidentially and used solely for the purpose of determining learner suitability, identifying support needs and supporting your success.
